Collage
My first explorations with adhesive tape collage made use of random remnants of industrial adhesive tape collected from Boeing surplus. These were applied to a wooden backing and then carved with a utility knife to create smoke cloud forms. I happened upon transparent vinyl this way and eventually developed a series of translucent cloud forms on architectural vellum. With these later works I cut out the cloud pieces first, then arranged them into “cloud grid” forms.
